Reference & Circulation:

The Reference/Circulation Desk area provides access to the fiction, nonfiction and reference collection and to items on hold at the library. At the Circulation Desk, you may check books out, return or renew books, pay overdue fees, and ask for help in locating books.

Overdue fees are $1.00 per day for VHS and DVD feature films. All other items are $.25 per day per item. All items are renewable in person, on our website or by phone at 717-632-5183. Patrons are responsible for the replacement cost of unreturned books and materials. If you borrow materials at another Pennsylvania library, you may return them there or to your home library.

Children's Services:

Applying for a Library Card:

Adams and York County residents can obtain a free library card by:

  1. Applying at the registration desk.  ID and proof of residence is required.  This card will entitle you to use your card in almost any public library in the state of Pennsylvania. Your card will need to be renewed every three years. Should you lose or damage the card, there will be a charge of $1.00 for a new card. An annual fee of $10.00 is charged to all who live outside the state.

OR

  1. You may apply for a temporary card number on-line, if you are a resident of York County.* (This will allow you to use the Power Library Databases immediately) This card number can only be used with the Power Library databases.
